Below are FAQs, Tips, News, and Articles to keep you informed about our business. If there is something you would like us to cover that isn't below, send us a message and we may be able to add it.
Most of these rules are common sense to ensure everyone has a great experience while at Gibbs Car Wash. If you have any questions about our rules, please reach out to us.
1. Please be respectful of our property and other customers.
2. No heavy debris deposits.
Heavy deposits of mud, grass clippings, mulch, wood chips, gravel, hay, leaves, etc. are prohibited, and all trailers / truck beds must be free of debris before washing. It costs thousands of dollars to clean out our debris pits. Obviously, if we allowed off road vehicles with heavy mud, truck bed washouts, lawmowers caked with grass, etc we would be forced to raise our prices far beyond what would be fair for the majority of our customers who just want to wash their car. For this reason, anyone caught washing out excssive debris may be billed for the extra costs and/or banned from the property. We recommend removing excessive debris at home with a garden hose, broom, or blower prior to making a trip to the car wash.
3. No paint (even latex), oil, grease, toxic substance, etc.
Paint, oil, grease, and toxis substances are never allowed to be disposed of in any way on our property! Disposing of these wastes, even latex paint, in a drain is illegal. Also, paint spreads when dilluted with water and when it dries on concrete it is very time consuming and costly to remove, and we will seek prosecution for vandalism. If paint spills in the bed of your truck, it can be peeled off of most bed liners. If paint spills on the carpet of your vehicle, the worst thing you can do is try to clean it with a pressure washer. It will go everywhere and ruin everything. If you spill oil or grease in your truckbed, use kitty litter or oil dry to soak it which can then be swept up.
4. Clean up after yourself, as this is not included in the price.
If there is any visible debris that came in with your vehicle, please take the time to clean it up for the next customer in line. When we have to schedule extra trips to clean up after a single person, it increases our costs, and even if we do not bill you for extra clean up, leads to higher prices for you eventually. Also, blowing debris out into the lot is not cleaning up after yourself. This just makes it take more time for us to clean up the mess.
5. No bucket washing, detailing, or hand drying while a customer is waiting to use any bay.
All of our customers, including you, want to get their car clean as quickly as possible. While the meter is running, you can take all the time you would like, but when the time runs out please vacate the bay if someone is waiting or add more time.
- Our brushes should only be used when time is on the bay, and foam brush is selected on the meter.
6. Don't litter, overstuff trash cans, or leave items behind that will not fit in trash cans. NO PUBLIC DUMPING.
Our trash cans are for light trash for paying customers only. If you are stopping in only to clean the trash out of your car, have oversized items or bags of garbage from home, or are disposing of construction waste, please visit the Tazewell Pike convenience center located 0.2 miles away.
